The Only Lip Product You Need This Summer

One and done.

When I come across a great product that you can't necessarily find everyday, I obsess over it. This lip balm is one of those products. Part of Trish McEvoy's Bronze Glamour Collection, the Essential Lip Balm is the one and only lip product you need to get you through the hot summer days. Needless to say, it is an absolute beauty essential. Whether you are rushing out the door, or looking for a pop of color on a beach day, this balm will complete any beauty look. You don't even need a whole face of makeup for you to look fresh faced with this product! It'll be worth the $28, I promise. You can thank me later. Xoxo Steph

Natural Makeup Look

Makeup will always be one of my loves. I find that it is one of the best ways to express yourself. I usually go for the more bold look - cat eye, contour and shadow. Today I wanted to try something different and try to go for a more natural look. Although I used most of my everyday products, I didn't go as heavy on the hand as I usually do. I substituted all eyeliner for a darker eyeshadow, even on my bottom lashes and think I will continue with this look for when I don't feel like putting on a lot of makeup. If you guys like this look and want a full tutorial video, let me know, I would be more than happy to do one for you all. I hope you all enjoy and all products are listed below!

P.S. Sorry for the horrible quality,  I tried my best to capture the best effect of this look!

NYC Hideouts

Working in New York City in the summer is so much fun but can also be overwhelming when you don't live there year round. It can take a while for a newcomer in the city to find the best coffee shops, restaurants, and quiet places. Luckily for you, I am going to be posting about the places that I have been exploring this summer in the big apple. There is no better feeling than finding a new place in the city that you've never been to; especially a little coffee shop that isn't a crowded Starbucks (I still love you....and your cake pops). Even those of you who don't get to go into the city all the time, this gives you a reason to hop on this train!

My first NYC hideout is....

City Kitchen!

Located on 44th and 8th, City Kitchen is my most recent favorite place to go for a really fun lunch break. Inside are many different types of food vendors. Sushi, Mediterranean, Mexican, and let's not forget the amazing donut vendor - Dough (you'll thank me later). City Kitchen puts all of the your favorite foods in one place. It's location is right next to Times Square so its convenient for work or if you're just visiting for the day! You can have a seat at their window counter that looks out to 8th avenue for prime people watching, we all do it. The kitchen is also connected to Row Hotel, a very modern hotel in the city. It accommodates any type of taste buds out there so go try it out for yourself!

If you want to let me in on your NYC Hideouts or any place in the city that you love going to, comment below!

Book Obsession at the Moment: The Girl on the Train

This.Book.

Hi all! Let me just start this off by saying how I'm usually not a huge reader (I know, I know) but this book is definitely one of the best I've ever read. I always love a good mystery with a twist and this book is just that. If you've heard that it is a lot like Gone Girl, you've heard right, kind of. There is a crazy character but it doesn't necessarily go in the same direction as Gone Girl. It kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time, not just the last 30 pages. I would recommend this book to anybody, reader or not, it will definitely grab your attention. Don't walk, RUN!

IF you guys have read this book I want to hear what you thought! Hope you all have a great Sunday and rest up for this busy week ahead!

Perfect Fall to Winter Lip Colors

Hello loves! It is quickly changing seasons. It seems like in a blink of an eye it changed from summer to fall. Guess what that means?! New lip color trends!! (EEK!) If there is something that I cannot live without its definitely color on my lips; whether a nude, pink or a burgundy during the winter, I can't live without them. I have three main colors that I think are the perfect transition to full on winter lip colors. And they are…. (drumroll please)…..

#1 Guerlain Rouge Authomatique 161 Cherry Blossom
This shade of pink is the perfect shade to wear for girls who don't like to cake on a lot of makeup everyday. It is so neutral and makes your lips look (not to bright) but brighter than your natural lip. It for sure is one of the early fall transitional lipsticks. Being a college gal, I love wearing neutral but yet noticeable makeup and this is the perfect fit.

#2 Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Pur Couture Vernis A Levres in Rouge Laque
This glossy but matte lip stain is by far the most genius lip color I have ever experienced… and.. it's matte! Yes, it says glossy stain but by the time you put it on it is completely matte and stays on ALL DAY, I mean it. The slanted brush makes it so much fun to apply and yet makes your lip look perfection in a matter of seconds. This is truly a fall color. When you see articles that say, "What's your perfect red lip color?"… it's this one.

#3 Mac Matte Lipstick in Sin
When it hits Thanksgiving break, you can bet I will be wearing this lipstick. It is my go to color for the winter and definitely a must have for beauty obsessed girls (much like myself). This burgundy color will look good on anyone, no matter what skin color. It automatically gives you a dramatic yet stylish and trendy makeup look. You can even play up your eyes with a slight smokey eye. My personal fav of any season.. I can't wait to put this color on. It's like the equivalent of Essie's Wicked nail polish, except better.

These are my three favorite lip colors for this time of year! Don't be afraid to take chances and change up your look every season, that's what makeup is for ladies! I hope you all are having a fabulous week. Comment for any suggestions, questions or hello's.
