Internship Comes to an End

Today was my last day at the Oscar de la Renta office as a production intern. I cannot explain how much I absolutely loved my internship. It was definitely one of the best experiences ever and I can only hope to be fortunate enough to be back in that office. Working in one of the most renown fashion houses was absolutely surreal. I have included a couple pictures to show you behind the scenes of my last day.

NYC Hideouts

Working in New York City in the summer is so much fun but can also be overwhelming when you don't live there year round. It can take a while for a newcomer in the city to find the best coffee shops, restaurants, and quiet places. Luckily for you, I am going to be posting about the places that I have been exploring this summer in the big apple. There is no better feeling than finding a new place in the city that you've never been to; especially a little coffee shop that isn't a crowded Starbucks (I still love you....and your cake pops). Even those of you who don't get to go into the city all the time, this gives you a reason to hop on this train!

My first NYC hideout is....

City Kitchen! 

Located on 44th and 8th, City Kitchen is my most recent favorite place to go for a really fun lunch break. Inside are many different types of food vendors. Sushi, Mediterranean, Mexican, and let's not forget the amazing donut vendor - Dough (you'll thank me later). City Kitchen puts all of the your favorite foods in one place. It's location is right next to Times Square so its convenient for work or if you're just visiting for the day! You can have a seat at their window counter that looks out to 8th avenue for prime people watching, we all do it. The kitchen is also connected to Row Hotel, a very modern hotel in the city. It accommodates any type of taste buds out there so go try it out for yourself!

Corporate Life Catch Up

Hi all!! Long time, no chat. Between going back and forth from the city and hanging with fam and friends I haven't been able to post as much! But I promise you that is about to change very quickly.
I have been a month into my internship and I am looooving it. I am learning so much about the corporate world and what it takes to actually make it in the fashion business. It is not easy work people, not easy.
Working in the one and only NYC has been a complete dream.  I do have my days when I don't feel like going through the morning commute but once I get there everything changes. Here are some pics that give you a look at my journey so far. :)

Inspiration Of The Week

I thought I would share my inspiration through every week. I get inspired very easily. By the people I see everyday, everything I wear and of course by all of you who read my blog a lot! I really appreciate all of you who read, it means so much. I love blogging so much it makes me feel that I can talk about anything I want with all of you.
Today, my inspiration of the day is…. drumroll….. New York City. I mean, how does NYC not inspire someone? My Second Home - NYC

Hey girlies! Today I took a trip to the city for some shopping and fun - TGIF! There is something about New York City that just makes you feel like you can do whatever you want. It makes you feel important. Somehow that feeling never gets old to me. Someday I want to live in the city to fully experience it. It also just makes me forget about any stress.
On my little adventure, of course I had to go into Zara because shopping addict. I picked up a ton of cute new pieces but more business casual since I do have an internship in the city this summer. Weee! I'll feature these new pieces in a later post.

N Y C

Hello everyone!! Yesterday I went into the city since I am home for Easter break. I actually had an interview for an internship so that was sooooo exciting/nerve wracking. But good news, I got it! So this summer I'll be spending a bunch of time in New York City and CANNOT wait!!! We walked around a little bit, went to dinner and then went to see Les Miserables. Huge fan. Fanatic. I love broadway plays, especially Les Miz, so it was so fun to finally see it in person. Oh and Andy Mientus (from Smash) signed my playbill and was so nice to take a picture with me *dying*. He was so adorable and even cuter in person. In all, it was a very exciting day.
New York City is one of my favorite places to go in the world. It inspires me so much and makes me feel so free to do whatever I want. I thought I would share my trip to the city with you guys!
